API’s Individual Certification Programs (ICP) provides the petroleum and petrochemical industries with an independent and unbiased way to evaluate the knowledge and experience of technical and inspection personnel. These certification programs are based on the industry-developed standards that are recognized and used with confidence worldwide.

ICP testing, developed in partnership with industry leaders, confirms that certified inspectors and personnel will demonstrate competence in content areas that are relevant to their practices.

AAPL offers three certifications that  are proven to enhance a member’s credibility in the industry and to increase earning potential for landmen: Certified Professional Landman, Registered Professional Landman, and Registered Landman

The ABIH offers a rigorous Certified Industrial Hygienist process and certification.

ASTM offers Personnel Certification for industry professionals.

The American Welding Society offers a variety of certification examinations and credentials, including Welder, Welding Fabricator, Welding Engineer, and Welding Inspector. A full list of certifications offered by the AWS can be found here.

Aberdeen Skills and Enterprise Training Ltd. (ASET) offers two OPITO Certification programs: Controlling Emergencies for Control Room Operators and Offshore Installation Manager. ASET is based in the UK.

Within the Industrial Welding program, students have the opportunity to complete their AWS certification through Ashtabula County Technical and Career Campus.
